Teacher Victoria

Teacher Victoria majored in Early Childhood Education at James Cook University Singapore. She had the privilege to intern and learn under mentors from some reowned schools such as Pat’s Schoolhouse, Canadian International School, Repton Schoolhouse, Nexus International School, Shaws Preschool and MindChamps. Though she has experienced different teaching styles from each school, her core belief is that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to be taught in the way they learn best. Teacher Victoria believes it should be every teacher’s priority to first understand each learner in order to effectively nurture their growth and progress.

In their formative years, Teacher Victoria strives to develop positive dispositions in her students, such as resilience, patience, and confidence, that will help them be successful in school and even throughout their lives ahead. She believes that in every situation, there is always something to be learnt!

Of all the subjects she has taught, English has always been very close to her heart. Growing up with a high emphasis on the language, Teacher Victoria believes in the importance of cultivating all students’ love for reading. Through the exposure of books, students will begin to develop not only in the subject, but also in their imagination and creativity.

FUN FACT: According to Teacher Victoria, the best way for her to unwind after a long day is to create a cosy ambience, and curl up under the covers with a feel-good novel and her beloved golden retriever, Sophie.
