Teacher Natalie

Teacher Natalie has been writing for as long as she can remember. As an English Literature Honours graduate from Royal Holloway University of London, she is a firm believer of how the study of English opens doors to the world around us. Everything in the world is connected through language and no one is too young to explore life and the world around.

She enjoys being around children and she started her teaching career many years ago as a children’s vocal instructor. Later on, she was given an amazing opportunity to write English curriculum for and teach with a boutique English enrichment centre in Singapore, where she learnt much about holistic education. She is a firm believer that education is not just about attaining good results, but it is also about exploring and learning more about the world.

She was part of the founding team who started Kallos, a Christian girls magazine, and also worked and had experience with wedding writing and content with StyleWeddings at Mediacorp as well as SingaporeBrides over the last few years. She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Alesce, a women’s media and community-driven organisation that hopes to empower women from all walks of life through printed and digital content and community gatherings.

A writer at heart and lover of words, she hopes to be able to share her love for language and writing to her students through the Pace curriculum and her teaching. She believes there is power in words and magic can happen when students catch the essence of language.

As one of the co-founders of Pace, her goal is to pique the interest of students so that they may fall in love with the English language the same way she has. When that happens, anyone can change the world and live up to their fullest potential.

FUN FACT: In an alternate universe, if Teacher Natalie were not a teacher or writer, she would love to be a wedding planner or a singer.

My daughter J has been with Teacher Natalie from K2 till now. She looks forward and enjoys the classes so far. The materials prepared are very well thought out and organised. I’d sat in for one of the Zoom lessons and wished I had teachers like Teacher Natalie when I was younger.

She made English fun and interesting for the children. She is also very approachable and patient so it makes asking questions easier for children. They always learn something new through the stories shared in class. Kudos to Teacher Natalie!

— MEIYI, MOTHER OF J (AGE 8)

I’ve chosen to let my children learn English from Teacher Natalie because her lessons are fun and interactive, and she has the remarkable ability of engaging primary-level children well through lively discussions."

— ANDREA, MOTHER OF T (AGE 11) AND C (AGE 9)

Teacher Natalie plans and makes lessons fun. She is encouraging and unlike the other tuition lessons I have, I look forward to each lesson with Teacher Natalie.
