Teacher Cecilia
Teacher Cecilia first started teaching English to lower primary school children more than 19 years ago and has never looked back since.
She has had a wonderful time working with children and has built a close relationship with them and their parents throughout the years. Having worked in the commercial sector prior to opening her first class of students in 2005, she has never felt more passionate about her job. To be able to partner with parents to mould a child’s early life is indeed a privilege and blessing given to her. Many of her students who had long since graduated from her classes still keep in touch with her till this day. It is this intangible reward that motivates and encourages her.
Teacher Cecilia believes that every child is curious and given the right curriculum and stimulus, their curiosity will be piqued. This will in turn ignite their interests and passion to learn beyond what the classroom can offer. It is with this firm belief that PACE Education was founded.
She believes that a teacher’s role entails more than just imparting knowledge to students. There is so much potential in each child that is waiting to be harnessed and it is part of a teacher’s job to identify these potentials and help the child to recognise his strength.
This quote by Buckminster Fuller will always resonate in her heart: “There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly.” She believes that as a teacher, she has the responsibility to keep on believing in each child in hopes that one day, they too will transform and soar.

FUN FACT: Teacher Cecilia’s dream is to live in the countryside and enjoy a slow and peaceful life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. To be able to bask in the sun and read a good book will be a dream come true!
